Ten Great Uses For Buttons

Buttons aren't just for cardigans anymore. You can use them to:

1. Embellish frames and other decorative objects by gluing pretty buttons on them.
2. Make a clock by: 1) Cutting a hole in a dish, compact disc, painted plywood circle or whatever you want to use as a base; 2) Inserting a clock mechanism (available at craft stores); and 3) Gluing decorative buttons around the face to mark each hour.
3. Cover stains on throw pillows or just make them prettier.
4. Turn two sheets into a duvet cover by sewing the sides and bottoms together and sewing a row of buttons along the top.
5. Create original works of art.
6. Replace the boring buttons on your clothes.
7. Dress up a tote bag by using one large decorative button or several small ones.
