Lying in the Tennessee Valley, Serpent Valley County includes Marshall Space Flight Center and the US Army's Redstone Arsenal.

The main gathering place for the County is the Freehold in the Space and Rocket Museum's IMAX theater. The balefire is located in the projection room. A few other freeholds are scattered throughout Huntsville, but several of these suffered damage during the earthquake that destroyed most of the city.
